Thrilled to let you all know that I got featured in the summer edition of Momentum Magazine. Talking about birding, hooping and geocaching as a great way to spend a summer “stuck at home” because there just isn’t enough science yet about the effectiveness of Covid-19 vaccines for immune-compromised people.

What is Momentum Magazine?
The National MS (Multiple Sclerosis) Society publishes Momentum magazine quarterly. In their own words, it “features people living their best lives with MS, consumer issues, news of life-changing advances in MS research, and reports on MS activism.”
What is the Article About?
Since we are living in the middle of a global pandemic, and people living with MS are often at a higher risk of serious illness with Covid-19, the magazine talks about ways different MS-warriors deal with yet another summer at home. I have to admit that I am happy that 2020 is hindsight by now!
There is a wide variety of ideas, ranging from national parks to wineries, from painting to hula hooping. Momentum Magazine also talks about how to manage summer symptoms, since summer heat often is a nemesis to anyone living with MS.
More about OurCarpeDiem Blog.
Because we love travel, and enjoy sharing our adventures, both nearby and far, I started this blog. Not only do I write about travel, but also about
- living with MS (Never boring! always new MS challenges);
- birding;
- money (partly to travel more);
- MS fitness (since every rep is a step!);
- travel hacking (you don’t always have to pay cash for travel)
- visiting every state capitol building in the USA (put on hold during Covid-19, but hopefully back once the pandemic ebbs);
- whale watching (in Quebec City and even touching whales!);
- UNESCO World Heritage Sites;
- US National Parks.
As you can see, there is a wide variety of subjects to enjoy and I hope you can find something you are interested in. If you haven’t done so yet, go and read the Momentum article about MS: Summer at Home!

Thank you, Simona! Yes, I was thrilled to see my MS experiences shared with the MS community. And was even happier that they show cased my “three hoops at once” picture 😀
